Drop down rails are unsafe because babies can easily get the rail down and climb or fall out. If the mattress is raised for a new born and for some reason the rail isn't latched properly or they managed to bump it enough and it comes off then that baby can fall 4ft to the ground. Toddlers or older moving babies it would be more unsafe they could easily just unlatch it and climb out or fall face first. I wouldn't waste your money if you only have $130 don't get something you'll have to just upgrade in a few months. Personally my son would have gotten a drop down rail off at 2 months old. I would have been pusses if I had to buy a new crib after 2 months and was stuck with one I legally couldn't resell

IKEA has some cribs for 100. A few are convertible to toddler beds but not to a full size head and foot board. Not sure what you're looking for.

ive never had a problem i used mine for two of my kids but they say that some of the drop side will come loose and babies fall tru and die so they stopped making em they did make this little converter kit so tht u could screw the side in but i think they stopped that to and just made em illegal

If you dont mind me asking whats your price range? On buy buy babies website I saw one for $180. If you can and have too save for something you know youll be happy with! We have a store here called other mothers and they resale gently used items, idk if theres a store like that by you but you might want to look into it! (:

Also I can't totally tell from the picture but it kinda looks like it has a drop down front rail. If you zoom in you can see the metal on both sides that just looks like it. So make sure it isn't a drop down rail. They are extremely unsafe and no longer approved based on the newest safety guidelines so technically if it is a drop down rail it can't be resold.

Doesn't look like it. Normally convertible ones have the front and back that look more like a head and foot board because that's what would turn into the head and footboards once converted. If the sides are the head and foot board that would make the bed a single size or smaller so I don't think so. But I'd ask the seller for the brand info to double check.

Look around at different stores too, our walmart here had a convertible crib for $125 if thats what your looking for. Online you have lots of options!

Its hard to tell. If they have 5hw beand on the ad try googling it. It may be because how the back piece is designed that would be the head board. Mine is exactly the same and it converts! (:
