How many mommy's were involved in your baby shower planning? I seem to have difficulty with being a part of the planning process with my fiancés mom. We talk all the time but once the word "baby shower" comes up, she changes the subject. This will be the only baby shower we will be having and since this is my first girl and most likely my last pregnancy, I wanted to at least help. I've told her I wanted to help but she just brushed it off. Any advice? Do I just let her plan it?
@jessimadre, I totally understand! I am the same way and I LOVE party planning but the problem was that my friend was the one planning which means she pays. I was stressed because I had to stay on top of her constantly and the day of she didn't have anything for the games or the center pieces and I spent my whole morning running around with her to get it done 😐
😂😂😂😂 he should get involved @jessimadre Tell him the benefits of a baby shower and maybe he'll change his mind 😊
@august.baby, my fiancé thinks baby showers are just Abby showers and he isn't interested much. I told him if he were to be involved, I'll get the inside scoop on what his mom is planning lol.
My husband was the only one involved 😭 We decorated and did everything ourselves !
@bryawna13, I basically planned mine for my sons and it was so much fun. I love party planning though. Pinterest is my best friend. I am a bit worried just kuz I the type of person where everything needs to be planned ahead of time. I feel pretty bummed out that this will be the only baby shower. I will set her down to talk. Hopefully it goes well and doesn't cause any tension.
i planned it with my cousin it took us one day and only one phone call and a fb invite lol
I helped plan mine and it was beyond stressful 😒 sometimes it's better to just let it happen but if you are worried it won't go through or come together how you want I would definitely set her down and ask why she is changing the subject or won't let you help
@_akgirl, I am the same way. I like everything to be matching and what not. I told her that I would like to design the invites and she said something along the lines of me not being able to kuz it won't match the theme. We had spoke about the theme before so I wasn't sure why she said that.
i had no involvement what so ever. which sucked because I really wanted to be (because I'm pretty type A when it comes to certain things). if you really want to be involved you could try not taking a subject change for an answer, but in a nice way. try explaining to her that you want to be involved.
So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
And my fiancé ended up having to cover what she couldn't when she was spending her money at Disneyland and shit
