I'm having this fear that the ultrasound lady didn't know what she was talking about or really…

it's very rare! Not impossible, my friend had that happen to her, but ultrasound techs are trained really well so they are usually never wrong! I have the dream all the time and I don't even know what I'm having yet. haha.

@arielmarietalks, im so scared ! & everybody thought I was having a boy (including myself!) & now that everyone knows I'm having a girl they're like well I still think your having a boy & what if you are having a boy & they just couldn't tell so they told you a girl & it's just all getting to me I guess

Oh that's so mean! Tell them to shut their face! Haha. They can tell if it's a boy better than they can if it's a girl haha.

Think of it this way... If you trust the doctor to deliver your baby you should trust their knowledge of reading ultrasound results. Gender isnt even the most important part if they can mess up gender than can also mess up on detecting issues with anatomy. So if they say the baby is healthy and just happens to have different genitals than you wanted i would just believe it.

@shortiebs either way all I want is a healthy baby but to get excited because I wanted a girl & have nothing but all girl items & clothes & it ends up being a boy is what will piss me off . My doctor isn't who does my ultrasound, ultrasound techs do them so I don't know if I could trust their word or not . Every time I get an ultrasound done it's by someone different

For mine, the doctor had to approve them. The tech did them then her doctor looked at then my doctor and i had to redo because they werent clear enough. So my office was thorough. Maybe bring them to the doctor at the next appt and have her look at them too. That way you still have enough time to prepare. And if you are REALLY worried get nuetral color stuff( yellow, white, green)

@shortiebs they only printed me pictures of her head unfortunately, & I wish my doctor would approve them . When I walked in for my prenatal appointment weeks after my anatomy ultrasound, she asked me what I was having so I guess they don't get told any of that

Ohhh yea they printed ALOT. and my doc wasnt satisfied the first time bc he couldnt see the heart. So they made sure i got it. Do you have copay tor ultrasounds?

Ok. My insurance only paid for 2. I would request another one or atleast copies of the images. Then bring them to your doctor
