Had a wic appointment & the lady told me to eat 4-5 meals a day i looked at her & laugh.. They two meals I eat a day are big meals so they make up lol lik lady im trying lose weight not gain 😂😂
Regularly and right! The things you eat are just as important if not more important than how often. Everything you eat and drink affects your supply.
@cookiemonster1216 I stay hydrated because I seem more thirsty, I just need to eat regularly
I did five small meals versus three large ones. Like, for the two in between it'd be something small like half a pbj, some milk, and cheese. Just eat lots of proteins, hydrate a lot, and your milk will be better :)
4-6 small meals a day is actually recommended by dietitians to help lose weight. And it's even better when you're breastfeeding because you're constantly burning calories. Not a regular size meal or one where you can't moe afterwards just something like a salad with a chicken breast. Or a turkey sandwich. Little things!
@queenmother lol I told my mom before the appointment that I wanted to eat health and eat normal lol cause I don't eat lik I should I go hours with out eating..
@amorebello, they shouldn't be enough to make you feel full just enough to make you feel satisfied and hungry again in a few hours. It's hard and not very practical for most people but I'm sure she left that part out lol. You have to prep all your meals in advance or you will literally be in the kitchen all day! If you are having results then keep doing what your doing until it stop working then try switching it up a little at a time like splitting into 2 meals to 3. Sorry for the rant I love health and fitness! But remember it not about being skinny it's about if you're healthy and able to do the things you want to do! My mom was a big woman by society's standards but that didn't matter because she was active and able to do everything physically that she wanted to do! Ok seriously rant over!
@queenmother I know, I know they have to tell you that stuff but 4-5 meals is alot especially since I'm not a skinny girl
@mahaylasmomma I'm not worried about it because it's coming in.. I just thought it was strange she said that I was lik oh I talked to lactation at the hospital they didn't say eat that much
I also agree with @mahaylasmomma in the end you know your body better than anyways else so if it's working for you then disregard it. But what she was telling you is what current research and science says.
Actually 4-6 smaller meals is better if you are trying to loose weight. Then you metabolism speeds up and starts burning fat even when your not active. Plus you do need about 300 more calories while pregnant and breastfeeding. Good calories though not crap.
unless your particularly worried about this supply of milk or something
id say go with your instinct now that the baby is out you know best
@mahaylasmomma I guess she told me that since I'm breastfeeding but it's still crazy.. She talking about the two meals would dry my supply up I was lik oh hmm

Anyone's toddler happily eat the recommended 3 meals a day no fuss!?
Hi Ladies! I was wondering what some of you guys eat for healthy snacks and meals? looking for some ideas 😊
Do you have to eat good in order to breastfeed? My MiL always asks if I'm eating good and I tell her yea just because I don't want to argue with her (I only eat like once or twice if I'm lucky a day) but I mean, there are women in third world countries who breastfeed and I'm sure they rarely eat themselves too. She always says that if I don't eat proper meals throughout the day my milk will 'dry up' is this true??

Did my clean eating meal prep today. It took 4hours 45mins to prep. Cook. Store. And clean. I made 14 breakfast meals. 7 lunch meals(for hubby's work) and 14 dinner meals. A long with 2 gallons of quinoa salsa for my parents and followed by not so healthy but my favorite sugar cookies. And let's face it. After all that. I deserve the sugar cookies! 👌🏻pictures will be in the comments that way I don't completely consume everyone's news feed! 😘
eat some food ladies...
its two days before Xmas :) positive vibes to y'all.
@cookiemonster1216 I know I learned so much about that since I couldn't breastfeed long with my son
