how bad does patosin hurt??? :/

sorry for my misspelling, my husband was rushing me to get to bed with him lol, his first day of work and he just wanted cuddles and I was scared and in a hurry, but Thank you for your advice and stories ladies :)

ugh I hates my experience with pitocin! at 40 weeks and 1 day with my daughter they wanted to induce me so they gave me a pill to insert into my vag sorry tmi the night before. then, when I went in they started the pitocin, it did nothing so then they gave me cervidil that night and same thing woke up the next morning, nothing. then they gave me pitocin again still nothing 2nd night they gave me a break and day 3 4 am my water broke on its own I was 4 cm and having horrific contractions. I didn't even get a chance to let them build up so it wouldn't be so bad, every 2 min or so I was running to the bathroom with all these machines thinking I was going to poo myself sorry tmi again but that is what it really felt like . I got an epidural at 7 cm , I was at 5 when I asked for it but by the time I got it I was at a 7. then I pushed for 2 and a half hours I think she was too big for me the doctor was using his hands to help widen me when I was pushing, even with the epidural that hurt. then finally at 414 pm I had my 8 lb 5 Oz baby. also she went to the bathroom inside of me so when she came they bad to take her for an house or so to make sure she was okay, which she was thank god, but that happens sometimes when you get induced. I hope I don't need to go threw that with this one in a few weeks.

i had it..my natural labor was nowhere near the same pain. so i dunno...it seems induction was super worse for me.

I had pitocin but idk if it caused my contractions to hurt so bad like i was going to die lol i have nothing to compare it to but luckily i got an epidural hours later

pitocin doesn't cause strong contractions. It just encourages the contractions to come. the drug is just synthetic oxytocin which is what brings on labor. why most people think it causes strong contractions is because naturally the body starts labor slowly over the course of days, sometimes weeks for some people and the contractions slowly get more painful until the end where they are unbearable. the pitocin creates those effective contractions. I had pitocin and my contractions weren't that painful. what was painful with the contractions was the fact I couldn't get out of bed because they had to monitor the baby.
