I am trying to figure out what birth control to use after my baby is born. I plan to breastfeed. I hear the pill will dry out your supply? I would love to hear experiences and suggestions PLEASE.
im fine i had ir removed but that didnt really fix it but then i saw another dr and they helped me and it finally went away it wont happen to everyone but i like to warn people
I took the pill because I only heard bad things about every other bc, I don't like iuds because they can grow into you and you have to have surgery, I had a friend who had to have the nexaplon arm implant surgically removed, the depo shot makes your body think its going through menopause or already pregnant (anything that stops your period is not good ), the only other thing I would even recommend besides the normal pill is the nuva ring I had it also and liked it alot
@desiduke2413, yes bad ones. i had a rash all over my body cause the hormones reacted bad to the yeast in the skin. and my periods were crazy i list my sex drive. a lot of people i kniw theirs moved snd it shouldn't snd it broke in their arm
@desiduke2413, that it is! Please don't hesitate to ask lady. I totally know the feeling of not wanting one baby right after another. We wait 2 year before trying for baby number 2.
@momwifefoodie, Most definitely won't need it right away. I wonder how this will work out since I have to get these unusual cell's on my cervix removed.
@momwifefoodie, ha-ha I got NO time for that now ;) lol but I do plan to be as safe as possible, I can't have another right after this baby. I have got to get back on my feet again. Thank you for the support <3 it's amazing how much support we all have for each other :)
@desiduke2413, I didn't start taking the pill till 6 weeks after having my son. let's be honest you could wait a while after that too...as the thought of sleep is a much higher priority 🙊
im glad you posted this! I dont know what to do either, im not ready to get my tubes tied but i hear realllyyy bad stuff about ALL bc besides the pill. I didn't know it could mess with your supply. I think ima go with the pill tho because i rather miss a dose or something than wind up sick or with crazy bc side effects from the others.
I forgot to mention I have unusual cell's on my cervix. Have any of you had to deal with that before? I am pretty sure I'll be focusing on that first before birth control and also hope it's not cancerous so I can breastfeed.
@scarlettnikol, did you have side effects? @odixiedelight I read an article about the IUD causing cancer. I wish I could find that article. I plan to read up on Google on everything mentioned by all you ladies. @momwifefoodie I will have to bring it up to my doctor.
@desiduke2413, I'm pretty sure that's the name of it. It's a lower dose of the regular pill. The only downside is that you can't miss a day without it not working. Although I just set a timer on my phone & that worked.
i was on nuva ring a few years ago & loved it! in for 3 weeks then throw it out & you get your period within the last week..didn't have to remember something everyday & not invasive
I personally really only want the pill, but have had bad experiences with headaches. I am not ok with anything the has to be surgically put in or removed. I am so scared of something staying inside me. I definitely want to use a type of birth control, just struggling because I really want to breastfeed. So I am worried my supply(milk juice) will dry up. :'( I am open minded to an extent and thank everyone who comments with idea's or experiences.
I'm on the same page! Also I reacted badly to hormonal bc. It had to much estrogen and made my eyes go super wonky I was kinda blind for a few hours. But I definitely don't need another baby for a while. I'm not sure what todo.
