Can I dye my hair while pregnant? I've never dyed it before but I wanna dye it for my maternity pics !

I'm getting my hair done as we speak. I researched it and asked my dr. The fumes and dye isn't strong enough to penetrate the placenta. I been dying my hair throughout my pregnancy.

I have been told to wait till second trimester or later and go make sure its a well ventilated area.

I've had my hair done while pregnant with both my kids everything was fine. I've heard though some people dye their hair but it comes out a different color due to hormones lol

You can dye your hair. Don't breathe in any fumes. Ammonia free dye is fine for you and the baby. None of it goes to the fetus after the first trimester is over, so second and third is the best idea. :)

From what my doctor said is that you need to wait until after your second trimester that you can do highlights in your hair but not dye your hair due to the chemical in the dye

You just have to be in a well ventilated area.

People say you can't, people say you can if you do this and that. I would rather not take the risk just because you never know. But ask your dr for a better opinion.
