I know how you feel , my SO family is the exact same, they all call him their baby and literally call me the sitting hen!!!!! wtf! I always correct them and say Dave and MY baby. they are all making plans with him for when he's born to take him places, I tell them um no I'll be watching him ,he's my child not yours. I don't care anymore they act ridiculous, like who does that!?

id's t jealousy?? this is their first grandchild and i get they are excited but give me some credit... i have this worry that when r go to visit them with baby i will barely get to have him because they all want bonding time... i feel like i will just be the cow in the pasture who just pumps and stays out of the way :( @ftm-jess

I think it it is jealously, they used to ask me how I was when I was in my 1st trimester and I was literally miserable, so that what I told them . they said well that's what you wanted right....yes it is but doesn't mean I don't feel like shit. I rarely go over there anymore. last time I was over I told them I don't really want anyone kissing him directly on the face when he's a newborn, they all were like we are going to do what we want. well ima do what I want and not bring my son around yall if that's how you want to play. at the end I'm the one who's giving birth to this child and no them. my SO is thankfully on the same page as me....

tell them to put hand sanitizer on their chapped nasty lips if they want to kiss him.... uhhggg... my sister put hand sanitizer on her daughters head when she was passed around at a funeral at 8 weeks.old... (some family.have no boundaries)... my husband was pissed amd.took the baby with him to the car... it was.cute that he was so protective of his niece.,.. I just dread.not being in.control of.my son.. i dont feel like its fair they put us in.that position... they need.to treat us like family.. not.just a package that sacrifices.everything to have their grandchild... :(.. our health counts too... @ftm-jess thanks for understanding.me

I completely agree with you, I haven't been treated the same ever since I became pregnant. they greet my belly before saying hi to me if they even greet me. they touch my belly randomly, starting at 6 weeks pregnant, there wasn't even baby to touch at that point, just my belly....i love my baby but there have been times I wished I wouldn't have gotten pregnant living so close to them

and having so many people kiss a 8 week old is just horrible. I can't imagine how the mother felt. I would have lost my mind.

mine live in South America so they live kind of far... they just text my husband on how baby Lucas is doing.. again you and I are just the incubators... hormone changes, hair falling.out, weight gain, sore nipples, incontinence, labor and delivery be dammed... we just supply them with grandchildren :( not the mommy by any means... uhhhggggg @ftm-jess

I hate that, my dad tried saying what he says trumps what I say and I straight up said "uhm no I'm the mother Nick is the father we trump everyone get it right" I was so pissed its my child not yours, I would feel a little irritated but not make anything of it

Is it their first grand baby? Maybe they are not realizing they are making you feel this way? I would have a chat with hubby about it and see what he thinks and maybe even all of you sit down and talk it out . Don't want to keep it in. Good luck!! 🙏🏻 @jessicagarmal
