I hate when people tell me that having a kid is going to stop me from achieving my goals! Like stfu, you sat on your ass and didn't push through! It's going to be hard obviously, life is hard! I never knew life to be easy, I have had to work extra hard all the time and that's what I'm going to continue doing. There are going to be days when I want to give up but I won't! I will cry and probably pull my hair out but I won't give up... And I'll keep pushing forward!

I hate when people act like that....I see more parents being more well off than single people

@optimommy, exactly! Did you know there has been an incredible rise in the entrepreneur market in America... All by single moms alone! Single handily being moms and running successful businesses. I always tell people the only limit is the one you place on yourself.

I agree!!! You can do it!! People that say that obviously never had kids or just didn't thrive to go any further after they had their kid.

Only people who weren't strong enough to keep working towards their goals would tell you something like that.

@vondab490, I agree most people look at kids as a burden. My baby is my blessing and together we're going to go far in life. No right now is not ideal but God never gives what I cannot handle. And when it gets to be to much I know He will give me extra strength to push through.

@mommieuhoh, that's how I look at it! It's the same people who don't have kids and still sitting on their booty not doing anything with their lives...

@babyhill, same here. Before I got pregnant I had plans but my baby has given me and extra well needed push.

I have a friend who had a baby at 16. Went to college and took the child with her. Stayed in the family housing dorm. Graduated and now about to finish with her doctorate degree. Its harder but not impossible. Just stay focused and find resources to help you.

Yeah. They're always the people with the most to say because they have so much time to say it and tell other people about their lives.

I just started grad school and people was like you shouldn't go no more. You must be crazy I just started another semester today and full time and I'm 34 weeks !! Between me and my baby I'm going to always be able to provide and tell her I never gave up even though the timing might have been wrong I regret nothing.

@babyhill people don't realize sometimes you have to struggle to get where you never have to struggle again... Some people are just negative

I agree completely. I had it easy growing up until I realized at as a teenager what my mama was doing to make sure we had everything and more !! If you don't struggle at some point in life I don't think you can truly say you experience life.

@babyhill, truth!! I've struggled my entire life but that struggle is not going to be what my baby goes through... I want my child to struggle a different way not poverty...
