32 weeks today with my rainbow baby :) can not believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by . But I'm so totally ready to stop work now such a struggle caring for people .... 2 weeks and 5 days left .. I ... can ... do ...this 👊
@emmy_lou, that is the exact reason I wanted to leave at 35 weeks haha but I am so glad I have planned it that way as i was feeling perfect and then all of a sudden started to get pain . I have now been diagnosed with pgp ( pelvic girdle pain) and finding it extremely difficult to walk . awaiting a physio appt and looks like i will have to use crutches for the rest of my pregnancy! my last shift tomorrow so hoping i can get through it xx
@carolannl, sorry, I've only just seen this reply! I'm a carer in the community too and wasn't really sure where to push myself to in terms of leaving for maternity! I've always said I'll work until I can't any more, I do a lot of work in our base office so hopefully will be out of the community a little earlier than I should! Going to try and keep my 2 weeks holiday I have left too until I chose to go on maternity! Would have for my waters to go at a clients house! I'd die of embarrassment 🙈🙈 x
heya sweet 😘 yes I am, I'm a carer in the community how about you ? well I'm taking mine from 35 weeks ( well 2 weeks holiday I have found I have to take , so officially it will be 37 weeks ) I wanted to work to a safe point and for me 35 weeks is my max as I really don't want to be worrying about my waters breaking in a clients house haha . it leave me enough time to relax and prep before baby but also plenty of time after baby is here too . I figured I would tell them 35 weeks and if I was struggling would tell them I want to move it forward or get the midwife to sign me off until I reached the date of maternity leave x
Are you a carer? In a home or the community! I am and I've been trying to find someone who does the same job as me and find out when the decided to start their maternity! :)
