My stomach hurts so bad from stretching everyday from all this fluid. I can no longer feel him move…

There's nothing they can do about the accumulation of water?

@edomke, thank you so much, I just don't know what's normal in this pregnancy anymore because of all the complications. @hippiebaby89 they can give me an amniocentesis to drain the water, but the chance of my water breaking of me going into preterm labor is just way too high. I don't want to have my son at 33 weeks with all his complications he might not make it. and, at the rate in collecting water, they would have to do it every few days for me to have "normal" levels so its just not worth the risk to me

Is he doing good for what he has? Do they think if you make it to full term he will be ok?? I sure hope so because he seems like quite the fighter since day one. And feeling a lot of fluid is not really a normal symptom...at least not for me I was just swollen

@martinajjones, what about sweating it out? I mean like going for a walk when the sun is out and it's hot. I know that you loose a lot in your sweat cause that's what was happening to me and I had low fluid. I understand where you are coming from though, you want to give him the best chance at surviving. I'm praying for you.

I have 42 cm of fluid @edomke when the normal range is 5-16 cm. and the problem with children who have trisomy 18 is that they have alot of heart issues, brain issues, and apnea. so usually they suffocate over a period of time, or they just cannot breathe. most children are actually stillborn because labor is too rough on their little bodies and they pass during delivery. I cannot have a c section because my diabetes and the fear that I won't recover from it (I'm allergic to anesthesia) so its just difficult to know what to expect when he is born.and @hippiebaby89 my doctors told me the only way to relieve this much fluid as "safely" as they can is to drain it. I'm actually on bedrest with limited activities (bathing, going to the bathroom, making meals, etc) to try to reduce the fluid on my own, but I'm just getting more and more

@martinajjones, try and keep positive thoughts. everything happens for a reason even when it's not fair. you are in my thoughts and prayers.
