I'm also in sac baby can have dads last name even if your not married and unless he's there to sign the birth certificate you can not put him down as the father

Yeah, i wasnt sure if on the birth certificate id be able to put my name too as my fiancé's last name. I know i can for my son but then my mom told me that for women they want maiden names on their child's birth certificate. I didnt know that when i wrote this 🙈

Oh okay I see what's going on... Your kid can have your fiancé's last name but your maiden name will be on the certificate no matter what.

I thought if the dad was there he could sign off and the baby could have his last name???????? I was a single mom for my first born so he was going to have my last name no matter what. My friend's kids have their dad's last names and the guys aren't even involved in the kid's lives so I'm pretty sure if the dad is there at the hospital the baby can have his last name.

if you married you can use your husband last name. like my momma was married to my daddy and on everything it had my daddy last name except for the birth certificate. it had my daddy last name as her current name and my mother maiden name as the name she was born with..

Nope you can't but your name will be your birth name anyway

if you not married you can't put his last name well at lease not at my hospital cause they ask for ID/DL to make sure your name match your ID/DL I tried with my last baby.
