Sometimes you can lose your plug early tho and they regrow. But you do lose your mucus plug soon before birth

As your pregnancy progresses, you will probably notice more discharge than usual. And when your pregnant, your cervix can become sensitive and bleed a little bit, causing your discharge to be brown or pink. That's what happened to me. I was told to call the doctor if I had cramping along with it😊

Wouldn't hurt to at least call your OB and describe exactly what's going on, they should be able to tell you if you should be seen right away or not.

It could have been your mucus plug with some old blood in it. But if it was you're mucus plug it'll grow back
