my newborn has not had a dirty diaper since yesterday morning...should i call the OB department?

I'd call his pediatrician and tell them and see what they suggest

If he's a newborn that's completely normal. Especially if he is formula fed. If he hasn't had one in over two-three says then I'd call

@havynsmomma0625, yea he is 4 days old today..his pedicatrian is off so another one on call is suppose to call me back...he is formula fed..i will start pumping this evening

That's normal . When they don't poop for 3-7 days then call your dr

Completely normal for newborns

I was gonna say most breastfeeding babies don't poop often just bc they use most of what they get but I see that's not the case. just keep note of when your baby poops time and day this way you'll have the info if need be.
