So I am new on here. So hello everyone :) I'm on my third baby girl and had my group B strep test yesterday....now with my previous pregnancies I was seeing a different doctor and just switched with this pregnancy at 24 weeks. My old doc just swabbed the outside of my bottom....this doc just shoved it in full force. I had bloody stool afterwards and today a hemorrhoid sticking out. TMI I know...so I called the doc and he said the swab is too little to do any damage but damn....it did something...anybody else have problems after strep test?

@mommyslittleman, I have been needing to go number 2 all day and have been dreading it...well I went and no blood and it wasn't bad coming out. wiping is another story...something is definitely protruding lol...I'm going to head to the store for some over the counter stuff and take a bath later. hopefully that eases it. otherwise I go back to the doc in a week and when he checks my cervix I'll have him take a look
@monilovesautumn, yes there was a girl in there too as well as my boyfriend and 2 daughters! I wasn't expecting it at all it was super painful and he just kept saying "I'm so sorry I'm so sorry"
@mommyslittleman, every pregnancy they do a group b strep swab test. I'd look it up so you know about it. @ashley1328x if you're bleeding I'd go to your regular doctor now and tell them what happened!
Does every pregnancy require an anal swab strep test?! My doctor hasn't mentioned this.
you should file a complaint! I had that test with my daughter they just swab the outside of the butt hole it's not supposed to go in . and if it does its only supposed to be barely with lube . was it a female in the room as a chaperone while this was performed?

Sorry this might be TMI but my doctor mentioned me being tested for group B strep at my next appointment. I know they swab your vagina but I read that they swab your rectum, is this true? My doctor didn't mention this part so I'm just wondering.

So just read that if you tested positive for a uti in your pregnancy they don't give you the strep b test they automatically just give you the antibiotic when your in labor
