When/how do you get your baby a social security number and what not?

i got my after i gave birth to my kids .

then go to the town hall or city hall for the birth certificate

Usually when you have the baby they will ask you that and you fill out a piece of paper. give it to hospital and in 6-8weeks you should get the baby SSC. or you can go to the social security office
