Yes it has been used against black people and it was during slavery but if you knew a little more about our world history white people were slaves first and black people run around calling us crackers like it's nothing and you guys don't think that's offensive though , right . ?

depends on the way you use the word . if you look up the word in a dictionary it says ignorant person . I do not use the word towards any of the ladys on here . I just think everyone needs to learn the definition of the word .

it's technical meaning is an ignorant person but it's not used that way it's used as a racial slur and has been for years and taking the er off the end and adding an a does not make it any different
