my ob said since I'm 30weeks he's going to start to check to see if I'm dilated he's done it a couple time because of some things going on but I'm terrified because I was attacked when I was fourteen and when anyone touches me on my leg/thigh area I get flash backs and my bf won't be with me .. idk what to do because I go for an appointment tomorrow
also is normal for him to checking now?

Ive had the same thing happen to me when I was younger. it's hard to go through.. I wish I could tell you how to not have the flashbacks, all I have is ask God for strength. and if you were or are high risk that could be why he's checking.

You could ask for a female nurse to be in the room with you, just let them know of the circumstances :)

No,unless you've had preterm labor. if not refuse the checks until you are comfortable. cervix checks are NOT a requirement and you CAN say no.

You can always decline checks unless you absolutely need it. I'm sorry you're going through the flashbacks and I highly suggest counseling so you can fully heal from it.

@queeneden, I've had counseling but they keep calling the police even though I already went through police interviews I stopped going because I had to tell the story all over again and again to strangers
