Got scheduled for an ultrasound...baby is measuring smaller than expected. Midwife says she's not worried. Anyone else's…

My baby measured small,(my last baby) and he was healthy as could be when I had him. only weighing 5lbs9oz but he was fine. that's normal. a lot of people babies measure smaller or bigger.

But why an ultrasound? I mean I'd love to see him again! Didn't think I would get to since 17 weeks! @threekings101415 @lexuselliott

maybe to see how much he weigh.. and to check on your amniotic fluid.

I don't know 100% why an ultrasound.

Mine measured a week behind at my Anatomy scan at 19 weeks. I think it's a common occurrence but don't get worried, I'm sure everything is just fine.

I already did. 8 days ago. showed him measuring three weeks behind. im terrified but dr just thinks he is just small.

Sometimes they're wrong. With my 2nd baby the doc kept saying (based on the ultrasound) that I was gonna have a huge baby weighing at least 8lbs. When I delivered I was shocked when they weighed my baby and he was only 6lbs 14oz. Don't worry about it!! @tracynangel

my doctor is not to worried she said is probably the way my baby is laying

honestly they can't accurately gauge your babies growth everything they do is pretty much a guess

I am too. I'm 35 weeks and a few weeks ago he couldn't feel the position she was in. so doing a ultrasound Friday. but I wouldn't worry bc it's just a estimate. they really won't know till she's here

My first pregnancy they said I was measuring small... then weeks later I was too big. My doc was a moron though LOL. He said I was gonna have a big baby... Maybe she was big for his skinny ass but she was 7lbs 7oz!

Exactly! He was crazy... he was pushing for a c-section... freaking psycho. I was perfectly fine! He even has set to induce me and I actually went into labor on my own... and he still induced me. Ugh I was younger then so I was going along with it.

don't be sad. Mia was like that at 37 weeks. she was only measuring at 4lbs. when she was born she only weighed 6lbs but was very healthy! you're a small girl so he might just be small like you.

Yeah that's what the doctor said. I just got worried cuz she scheduled an ultrasound and I read that you don't get one after you find out the gender unless there's complications @courtney_boyea

I was pretty scared too. because she was worried about me not having enough fluid in there too. but it was all ok. just like what will happen with you .

I still have 3 more weeks before I reach 40 weeks so hopefully the ultrasound would tell if I have enough fluid. If not they'll induce me and I don't want that! But whatever the baby needs. I just want him healthy! Thanks for relating with me! I missed you! @courtney_boyea

I missed you too! I feel like I am never on anymore. now that Mia doesn't sleep much during the day I have to entertain her and kylie and clean lol I feel like there isn't enough hours in the day for ne to do it all!

well when Ezra is here you will become wonder mom. especially when you go back to work! you will not only have to take care of Ezra and your husband but you have to take Care the kids in class! I wouldn't be able to do that lol.

Hahaha I'm getting anxiety from thinking about going home to a baby as well! I guess my body is used to doing a lot! I'm 37 weeks prego and still scrubbing walls and going out everyday! No signs of labor here! Lol @courtney_boyea oh and if I ever come visit you please cook me something lol I bet you're a fantastic chef!
