I'm seeing posts of mommies who are having a hard time breastfeeding. I plan on breastfeeding when baby comes, but it I'm nervous it becomes a struggle for me too :/. Good luck to you all, I won't stress over it but it's definitely on my mind now that it might not be entirely under my control

It wasn't hard for me. It will be okay.

If you're giving birth at Barton a lactation specialist comes in and tries helping you, shows proper holding techniques, etc. I went in when my son was 3 days old because he wasn't eating and the lactation consultant came in again to help but unfortunately, I wasn't able to breastfeed him long. If you go to the WIC office (human resource office next to the DMV) I believe they will try to help as well.

That's so awesome! I knew hospitals have lactation consultants I just assumed we don't because we're small but I'm glad to know we do! @kimberlyyyy

And yes I believe at any hospital a lactation consultant comes by the check on you and help of possible.

yw you'll be so happy you did. I read other moms posts and the comments just to educate myself even more. I feel very confident.
