well I have large breasts and an oversupply but it works for us because my lil one is greedy😂 we're establishing supply now which is called cluster feedings. We were sent home yesterday and I lie to you not she ate on and off (mostly ate-80%) for 12hrs straight. You need to constantly drink and have snacks because you'll be hungry and water helps with supply. It was miserable because there were times I went to the bathroom and she'd holler for me😢. I got lucky and she let me take a 5 min shower. I kept thinking there was just something I wasn't doing right but no that's just how it worked out for us. there will be times in the first few days where first they'll go through a 5-6hr stretch of not eating and then boom eat for 3-4 hrs on and off. it's normal. also breastfeeding babies still need to get burped. Skin to skin helps but kinda hard in the first week because you have to be gentle with the umbilical cord, just have to be extra gentle. Today, she's doing better sleeping more and eating less, still frequent but much less. I'm thinking my milk is coming in more so I'm loving that. For sore nipples which you'll have from cluster feedings no matter how good your latch is ask the hospital for nipple cream. use pillows for support and I think that covers most of it. message me if you have more questions😊😊

I only latched at the very beginning and didn't start pumping until I was about to go back to work. And sometimes when I would feed on one side my other boob would just start leaking so I got one of those bra cups and that helped too haha

I alternated breasts every feeding. I didn't get engorged and the other one was just full and ready to go when it was time to eat again. Sometimes if you have a really good production or oversupply, feeding on both sides can give your little one too much foremilk that they'll get full on and stop eating before they get to the hindmilk, which can cause tummy issues.

I switched, or you'll be engorged and miserable on the other side
