Question? I only want my fiancé at the hospital during labor and at least 2-3hrs after delivery. No in laws, no friends. Just me ,him and our baby. I want us to spend the first few hours of her life bonding together without being overwhelmed by everyone else.
My plan is just to go to the hospital, have the baby then call family and friends after I have rested and spent sometime alone with the baby to let them know of her arrival. Do yall think that's selfish of me?

That's exactly what I'm doing... This will be my last baby and me and my husband want to be able to bond with our child before everyone comes in so we are not even going to tell anyone when the schedules c section is going to be we are just going to call everyone after the baby is born
I'm having my son in another town so I don't have loads of people there
Not at all! I'm doing the same thing!! Then the whole first week is immediate family only visiting!
I'm doing the same thing, everyone even my birthing class teachers said take atleast the first hour for me and the babies. Do skin to skin, breastfeed and all that first then let them weight and measure them and whatever else needs to be done but to take that time and enjoy it so no way your so not being selfish! it's exciting for everyone and people who love you should respect your decision and understand it!
that's basically what I did and it was amazing except my boyfriend had to leave like a hour after I had her so it was just her and I for awhile it was nice I needed it after 32 hours of labor and a c section. you need to be able to relax and maybe nap after you have baby
I'm doing the same thing!
I think this is your experience. Whatever makes you comfortable and relaxed. There is plenty of time later to share your baby with family and friends.
not at all that's what I plan to do
