So apparently me wanting to dye my hair purple means that I am irresponsible. I feel like I'm 13 again. I can't do anything without my parents putting in their opinion on how I should do things. As much as I am grateful for their help with my son it doesn't seem like he's my son. I guess I should just take out all of my "outlandish" piercings and never dye my hair any color from this point forward because I'll never get a job and be able to support my son and myself. Cool. 😒

Totally depends on your job and the career path you want. It's not like you can't dye your hair back anyways :)

@danamarie, I'm going to school to be an English teacher. I've got about one more year before I do my masters. I'm currently unemployed but am full time mama and full time student so that's the only reason I'm not working currently. My parents told me they want me to stay at home with my son because that job is most important yet dying my hair is irresponsible. I'm just so confused.

Sounds like they have a say since they help/you live at home and pay for everything? I don't agree that it's irresponsible since you can change it back - but I can see the point of view it can hinder from you getting into certain programs/jobs. Let's be honest - people are super judgmental when it comes to that bs whether it's fair or not - so maybe that's the point? Or maybe they just don't think it will look cute?
