There are 4 weeks in a month so if we are 22 weeks that means we are 5months and 2 weeks. 6 months is 24weeks we still have two weeks to go to be 6 months. the pregnancy is 40weeks which equals 9 full months

Actually there are 4.3 weeks in a month and why you have an extra week at the 3rd month/end of each trimester. Think of it this way - how many months only have 4 exact weeks or 28 days - just one, all else is 30-31. Therefore you have to account for extra days in the last month of each trimester. Hope that helps.
