So I tried to call the lab that did my blood work to ask was there a certain time I could expect my results to come in (I can check my chart online) and I was (rudely) told that only my doctor could give me that information and hung up in my face. I called back and asked for my doctor's office and was told that the clinics (its a hospital) were closed today because of the holiday...isn't the holiday tomorrow? Who actually celebrates the fourth besides lighting fireworks and barbecuing? Why can't I get answers? I'm slowly getting irritated!!! 😠 😠 😡

Grr. These doctors offices don't seem to understand. Just because they deal with this stuff every single day doesn't mean that we do!!! I'm an RN and I always, always make it a point to let people know their concerns are important! Just because it's a routine job for some doesn't mean they can just blow stuff off!!! 😤

@chloesmomma2015 exactly! Finally talked to someone and she said because of the holiday, there's no way of knowing so to check my online chart periodically...again, why is the fourth such a busy holiday? All people do is light fireworks! I understand Christmas or Thanksgiving but come on!

@chloesmomma2015 lol I mean, I'm not trying to belittle or rush anyone with their job but this is a big deal and sure, maybe there is nothing but it really shouldn't take this long 😢

the forth of July isn't about fireworks and cookouts, it's a time to celebrate and appreciate our freedoms. today is "forth of July (observed)" meaning most businesses allow their employees to have an extra day off to spend with family/friends. I understand you're frustrated with not having your test results but be patient and enjoy your weekend and the freedoms that you've been given

@calaboss I understand. I mean, it is a holiday for a reason. I just don't understand why almost the entire hospital is shut down. When I went, I was getting creeped out by how empty and closed everything was. I guess I don't see it as one of the holidays that would cause businesses to be shut down.

independence day is something our whole country celebrates together as a unit. Christmas is geared towards Christians and Christianity. this holiday is specifically for every American

@calaboss I would hope she wasn't a nurse with that bedside manner! Maybe a receptionist who was having a bad day? Not sure but she was so ready to jump off the phone after 27 seconds of talking

@calaboss I wished we had more holidays for these reasons then. I was born in America but I get told to go back to my country (Africa) and I'm not even from there technically! My family is from Montenegro (Europe) and Dominica (African Caribbean island)!
