When is the best time (I.e week)to get a gender scan?! I am 15 weeks and anticipation is killing me!!! 🙊

I am going to book myself a private scan! Because the one my midwife booked isn't till 20 weeks!!!!

@gj that's why we all seem to be going for private scans. I paid for a gender scan it's on the 7th July & my 20 week scan is 2 weeks later :/ as if I could of waited lol x

I am from Canada originally...I have to say healthcare here is not as helpful...It's all too overwhelming.

Haha yeah @gj get one booked .. There so much better anyway because you watch it all on the telly and they print out loads of photos for you to take home ... I'd pay for one every pregnancy! ... And oh god @tori27 yeah I remember! Ha as if it's come around that quick xxxx

@jodipatton, @laa286 def booking one...I am debating if I should surprise my husband or take him with me to the scan 🙈

20 weeks is normally when they check the sex of the baby and any anomalies :) But some people do get it done earlier :) At first the males bits look exactly like the females bits :) So that's why they wait until 20 weeks to give you a much more reliable result. I only know of one occasion where they were wrong. My friends mum got told he was a girl...and when he came out he was obviously a boy haha :) :) I'm definitely going to wait until 20 weeks :) I don't want to risk a mess up :)

mine was at 17 weeks and I was told it was a boy... then anomaly scan said girl 😂 shes definitely a girl lol
