Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
Is it just my docs? Idk why, but every time I go to the doctor they just check my blood pressure, weight, urine, baby's heartbeat, and send me on my way!

My doctor refused to check also. "There's really no point. You can be 100% effaced for days, weeks even, and we don't want to cause infection. If you're feeling goods, then I really don't want to give you false hope thinking she may come early.". The thing is, I WANT her to come on her due date - not early. But, I guess I understand where he's coming from.

@mssjudyk, really?? Nice to know thanks! :) @sgtpeppertheory yes that's true and I agree with you @ce5ce I just don't like that she wouldn't do it, she could have someone else do it. @emc229 exactly I was told that I can ask to be checked anytime

well that's different. I've heard of patients refusing to do it but not the doctor😟😟 makes me think she just wanted to be difficult. I would've said send me in a nurse that will then and not leave until I got what i wanted. I understand it's to prevent infection but geesh, there are ways to compromise😒😒

My midwife said they don't check unless I'm having contractions regularly, because some people can be at a certain dilation for weeks, and some dilate all in one day and have their baby that night. Doesn't really tell you much.

my midwife refused to do it unless I was in labor also. it prevents infection.

Geez I asked my doc and she did it in my last appt. I was just having a ton of contractions so I wanted to make sure I wasn't dilated or anything. Gave me piece of mind. She should serve to your needs!

u can self check don't stress. You have to wash your hands very super well, and use some lube, maybe olive or coconut oil. I used lube, u can Google How.to do it: ) u can also YouTube it
