i got mine induced with meds. it hurt a lot more than natural but my induction was also my first birth. they its easier second time around.
I got induced with pitocin it didn't make my contractions no stronger then a regular labor .... I was in labor for 17 hrs and it took my 6 minutes to push ... I was in labor for 17 for my first baby to and that time i wasn't induced
you can be the membrane sweep, just have to be dilated , they tried that with me but it didn't work @hazelsmommy27
okay thank you you guya im 41.2weeks right now and i justwant to speed upthe process iwas having contractiona last night but only lasted an hour and then they stopped.:/ can you get a membrane sweep if your water hasnt broken though?
Like the other ladies have said doesn't have to be medication. They just stimulate the uterus to get labor going
Ask for a membrane sweep first ! Then see if it send u into labor
They will give you a medicine that will induce contractions and make them super strong and see if that will throw you into labor. They will giving your body time to see if things progress naturally from there.
it all comes down to your body, they do come more frequent but as far as pain it depends on your pain tolerance some ppl can take it some can't, if you want to go for it, it doesn't make you a bad person or mother. with my first and second I was scheduled to be induced but went into labor the day before each time.

I was admitted in the evening to be induced with cervadil (its something they insert vaginally) and kept it in all night was only dilated to 2, they sent me home the next morning because I wasn't progressing enough, walked up my steps at home and then started getting regular contractions and went back not even an hour later around 12pm, was dilated more and they put me on pitocin and contractions came pretty hard after that got the epidural, Dr broke my water at about 9pm had Callie at 9:41pm
You don't have to do pitocin! They can do other things first
How far along are u? I wasn't thinking of doing anything but I'm a couple days shy of being 40 weeks and feel like my uterus is about to explode and thinking of trying something.. maybe the ball bouncing thingy .. I've already been having lots of sex but doesn't seem to have an effect lol
it made my contraction more painful and they came faster the nurse had to turn the pitocin. off for a min
