fiance asked me to take down my rainbow profile pic on Facebook because his family was offended and I did to avoid drama even though I think he should have defended me. since then I posted one single thing that has anything to do with marriage equality and he asks why I "kept posting stuff" after he asked me not to.

he asked me to take down my profile pic and I did. I will not refrain from expressing my views. I'm not the type to throw stuff in people's faces or force my views on other people or even tell them they are wrong because I disagree because that is not how I see it. what I posted had stitch on it. and made a reference to 626 being stitch's experiment number and the date that we got marriage equality. it was not obscene. it was just a photo. celebrating a victory. same as my profile pic. most of my family is Christian and so is his. and I have a lot of Christian friends. they post things about God and Jesus all the time. I don't get offended because a) it's not my Facebook b) different views are not offensive to me so long as they don't involve harm to others c) they are not forcing their beliefs on me rather expressing theirs. I took down my profile pic to avoid the drama. partly because he was in my profile pic and its one of the first things people see about me. I will not refrain from expressing my views. if someone is offended they can keep scrolling. if that's not enough they can unfriend me. but if he or anyone else says one more damn thing about it I swear I will bombard my news feed with pornographic images of gay couples. don't tell me I can't say to marriage equality when i see yay Jesus all the time and say nothing.
