Oh ok it shouldn't be too bad my baby is 9 weeks now and I started the bottle after her first week home just so she would be used to it for when I went back to work so I make like one bottle whenever we have to go out in the world but she gets Breast mostly so I have to see how she does taking the bottle for majority of the day thank u!! @helpedbytmh

when I come home from work I breast feed her all the way up until its time for me to go to work the next day and on the weekends she gets all breast no bottle because I'm home

and she eats 3-4 oz per feeding now. shes 7 weeks

so far its been 3 weeks and she's doing pretty well. I'm surprised myself because I was nervous she wouldn't take the bottle when I was away or the breast when I was home but she's doing well with both. I would suggest doing a "dry run" at least a week or 2 before you go back to work where u let ur husband or whoever will be watching baby while you're at work, bottle feed baby during the times you'd be at work and then breastfeed during the times you'd be home. I started giving my baby 1 bottle a day 2 1/2 weeks before I went back. if you do decide to give bottles before you go back, make sure you're our of the room and your baby can't see or hear you because if they hear mommy they may want the breast and not the bottle

Ok cool so she drinks about 2/3 oz every feeding while you're away? I was over shooting stressing thinking I will need to leave like 24 oz of milk at home everyday 😩 lol how does she do because my baby nurses to go to sleep majority of the time I need to curb that so she won't give dad so much trouble so the week before I plan to try bottle feeding in the day and Breast only at night during the week, what do u do? Bottle only now or both ? @helpedbytmh

so when I'm at work, I pump to replace what she used the day before of that makes any sense. my stash remains the same. when im at work, I pump during the times that she would normally nurse at home

I leave about 9-12 oz when I'm away for an 8 hr shift but she only drinks 4-6 oz while I'm away but I leave extra just so she can have more than enough. I pump twice during an 8 hr shift and get a total of 6-7oz (or 3-4oz per breast). so after a workday I basically have 4 3-4 oz bags of milk and she only drinks about two of those bags while I'm away so that's two extra bags of milk left over for another day because when I'm home with her she nurse from the breast

Yea I want to build up a little stash. How much do you leave for her when you pump? About how many oz??? I plan to do overtime when I come back like 10/12 hours so that's y I want to have extra because sometimes I won't know if I get approved for OT til the day of

why do u need to pump everyday? I'm asking because I went back to work 2 weeks ago and I only pump when I'm at work and away from my baby, when she's with me there's no need for me to pump. are you trying to build up your freezer stash?
