So I've been thinking of instead of getting my little guy a bassinet because I'm sure he'll grow out of it within a short amount of time. I was thinking of getting him just like a pack and play. It's even the ones that the mattress can be brought up higher. Is anybody else doing this?

@oct15newmommy, yes ma'am' it's an adjustable quilted mattress with removable pad for easy washing! It has the higher level and Lower. It also comes with removable changing table and little bassinet thing and a pocket on the side for diapers and wipes. Only negative reviews I read are that its kinda difficult to take apart so it doesn't make for a good travel pack n play. And that its heavy. Neither of which are issues for me! (: I have mine on my registry at buy buy baby. Oh and added bonus. There is a light in the corner that also vibrates the pack n play and plays sounds. And it has a remote. So you can control it from your bed or the bedroom door so you don't disturb baby!

Funny. I was thinking about this yesterday. I think I will be too setting the pack and play next to my bed for the first month. I'm too scared to put her in her room alone and I feel a bassinet is a waste of money.

@babyfacextc99, oh my goodness a 9 pound baby, girl you're brave. I know my sister in laws friend had a 10 pound baby. I'm just like I respect you. But no definitely I do feel like it's a smart move budget wise because like you said you can use it for a long time!

I definitely agree my son out grew his bassinet fast and if ypu have a big baby like myself they out grow it very fast lol my son was 9lbs when he was born omg he outgrew almost alot of stuff from clothes, swings, diapers and even a car seat. so definitely think its a smart idea even if you have a small baby definitely still agree you can only use a bassinet for a short time a playpen/playyard definitely can use for a while.
