LABOR STORY
I came in on 6/21 because I thought my water had broken, turned out it was just discharge and I was only dilated to 1CM, and not having any contractions whatsoever. So we went home, I laid down and watched tv until I fell asleep. The morning of 6/22 I woke up @ 6AM and let my dogs out and ate a bacon cheese biscuit, and decided to give my brother a call and see how he was doing. @6:38AM I had to hang up on my brother because I had my first contraction, I expected it to be another 15 minutes or so until I had another one-- WRONG-- @6:42AM I had another one and they both lasted well over a minute. I walked upstairs and tried taking a hot bath, and told my husband I was having some contractions and I was going to see if the hot bath would make them decrease any. @730AM I was waking my husband up telling him it was time to go to the hospital, that I was having minute long contractions that were 2-3 minutes apart already. @830AM we arrived and they got me in a room, @ about 9AM they checked me and I was dilated to 3CM and 100% effaced. They went ahead and gave me pain meds through my IV and also started the epidural because I was in so much pain. By the time it was 5PM I was dilated to a 7 and steadily progressing so they went ahead and gave my dr a heads up, @9PM I was dilated between 8CM and 9CM so they called my dr. @10PM I started pushing and she was stuck in my pelvic area and they started to threaten a vacuum birth or c-section @1:30 AM. I guess that scared me enough because I had her out with in 3 more pushes and she was officially born June 23rd @1:38AM. :)
