open windows when you clean

I just wanna put in a little input here. My mom runs and inn, and I help her clean the rooms whenever needed. Since becoming bigger in my pregnancy (I'm almost 31 weeks) I've had some trouble cleaning the bathrooms. The chemicals from the cleaning aren't too bad, but bending down to clean the toilets and getting inside bathtubs and squatting to get all the scum and grime out is getting more difficult. It's doable, but you'll be moving slower once you start getting bigger. Just thought I'd give you a little heads up! Hope everything goes well for you dear :)

That's also what I'm worried about, I'm afraid I get this job and I only can work for a few weeks (I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow) then I'll have to leave, and by tbe time I leave there will be really no point in me getting another job because the baby will be close to being born. but money is a really big issue right now. so I'm stuck in a pickle right now, 😣 @mlmckeeth

@firsttimemommy89, it's okay to be worried honey. Like I said, it's more difficult, but you can definitely still get the job done. Just let your supervisor/boss know that you're pregnant and that you might be moving slower in your later months. Just keep water on hand, and always remember to support your back when bending over. You'll be okay! I used to be able to turn over 4 rooms in about an hour and a half before I was pregnant, and now it maybe takes me 15-20 minutes longer just because I'm being more cautious. If you need extra money, a cleaning job is probably the way to go. It's low stress, you don't have to deal with naggy customers, and most of the time you can work at your own pace as long as you aren't slacking. Keep your chip up sweets!

I've never been pregnant before so this may sound incredibly stupid, but how do I support my back? will they fire me when they find out I'm pregnant? everything seems to be happening so fast, I don't know what to do or think anymore. feel like I'm losing my mind. @mlmckeeth

Legally they cannot fire you for being pregnant, so you don't have to worry about that! And having good posture helps support your back, along with bending at the knees and trying to keep your back straight when bending over. I'm bigger chested, so it's been difficult because I'm so front-heavy right now, but even when sitting I try to keep a small pillow behind my back so I can lean back instead of slouch while I'm on the couch or in chair. Every little bit helps!!
