37 weeks today! 💕 Having major major issues with my EDD (disability) from the state of California. - My advice to all of you California ladies; start filling out paperwork now! - ✨Doctors apt later on today! Fingers crossed I'm not effacing, and she stays in until the 15th! ✨

@preggiemommyincorona, I've called over a hundred times in the last 42 hours (literally.) I'm thinking they have only gotten busier over the years and never has done anything about it.

I think in those two days I called at least 10 times a day I was finally able to get through around 12 @jennatess

@preggiemommyincorona, did you have an issue getting though on the 1-800 number?

I know that when I applied with my second pregnancy (I'm on my third) they lost my paperwork so I didn't get paid for almost 2 months so when they did pay me I got a big check of $1700.00 and that was 4 years ago

@kimberlyyyy, amen! I only took the four weeks of disability before the estimated due date because the state allows and approves it. Otherwise I would have just kept working. 🙈

Well I didn't do disability so that could be why I don't remember the process being shitty (I worked up until 39w5d). That maternity leave Bs took some time to process though, but it didn't seem too bad. I agree though, screw california. I've tried filing for unemployment and THAT process can go suck Jerry Brown's balls.

@kimberlyyyy, screw California! The paper work I'm trying to fill out right now is for four weeks of disability before the baby is due, and then I'll have to do everything over again for actual maternity leave once the baby is born.

The process wasn't as bad 4 years ago for me. My friend didn't get her benefits until the week before she had to go back to work making it pointless. California sucks for everything!!

@babygirl10-11, that's so ridiculous! How long did it take you to get though by calling? I keep getting "we're sorry. The maximum amount of callers has been reached. Please try calling back later. Goodbye" crap and then they hang up on me...

I just checked my phone - I've made 108 calls to them in the last 42 hours. - it's so freaking aggravating! They messed up my paperwork saying I never worked at all in the year 2014. Which is a lie! I have worked for the same company for over 5 years! Ugh. But, they are impossible to get ahold of.😓
