I keep seeing post about the cervix exam being painful is it really painful and how is exam performed ??? FTM so I don't know
it always hurt when they checked me but i think its because i tensed up every time they did it.
Yea I'll try to relax because I have a habit of doing that Also @emc229
I go every week at 35wks and that's when he said he will start cervical checks.
Oh ok because my doctor told me after 36 weeks she will be seeing me every week @santistevanmommie
It's uncomfortable but depending on how rough they are it can seem worse. I always tighten up so that makes it even worse... if you're relaxed it'll be less uncomfortable & quicker.
most doctors don't hurt you. this nurse was just very rough and her fingers don't reach back enough.
Mine start at 35wks but some Drs won't do them until 38 or 39wks. I asked mine just to be prepared for the uncomfortableness
Lol No she really gentle for the most part @asiaappleton
Don't worry it's not really that bad :) just a little pain and uncomfortableness
Yeah uncomfortable is a better word to describe it, unless your doctor is just rough .
I think they are going to start check on my next appt since I will be 36 weeks then @lovelyadre @junebaby @santistevanmommie
They stick their fingers in basically just feel to see dilation and if your thinned at all. It hurt me until I was about 2 cm. and if they're rough of course it'll hurt:/
I think it's just uncomfortable. It's basically like a pap smear
this is my fifth baby and this nurse practioner who checked me today hurt me really bad. she did the last time too. my cervix is posterior though so they have to reach real far back.
FML I have to get a pelvic exam!!! 😫
Mom's that went natural no meds , was it painful? Or painful PAINFUL ? I got an epidural last time but I wanna go no meds...
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.
Can a cervical exam induce labor ?? I had one this afternoon and I'm in a lot of pain
My cervix still hurts? Kind of like I'm getting a cervical exam but a little less painful? Should I be concerned?
i had one done when i was at the hospital, they basically stick two fingers in all the way back back back to ur vajayjay and feel around...
I asked my dr when she checked and she said 39 weeks... so this next appointment I'll be getting it again. I'm excited to see if I'm dialated or not lol cuz i been feeling contractions and want tk know if they're legit or not
