Dilated to a three going to give me an epidural to slow contractions and let my body catch up and dilate with only thirty seconds in between they are worried he isn't getting enough oxygen

Had my cervix checked (at hospital) on Sunday 1cm dilated.... go today my doc says I’m not dilated at all . Ummmmmmmmm 🤷🏾♀️

How do you know if you are dilated? Does your water have to break so you can be dilated? I'm 38 weeks and I still don't feel labor stuff lol

Contraction questions
I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.
