My little girl isn't rolling just yet, but she is starting to push off and throw her weight around. I don't want to wait too long...any tips for transitioning out of the swaddlers? She doesn't nap in her crib during the day, so the only time each day she's in the crib is at night in her swaddle. So far no luck trying to just quit cold turkey! Thanks in advance!
I've read that to transition out of swaddling... Start by unswaddling one arm at night and then if sleep isn't interrupted after a few nights ... Try the second arm. We have our lo in a rock n play so he can't roll in his sleep... So glad we don't have to give up swaddling yet because he loves it!! Good luck :)
my daughter loved being swaddled but when she was 6 months I was researching about her rolling over and apparently it can hinder them from rolling. so I just tried not doing it as much as I could and plenty of belly time. and maybe try dressing her warm so she doesn't feel she is cool without being swaddled.
oh ok...I was thinking they couldn't be swaddled once they could roll because their arms are pinned down
You might want to try some non swaddle sleep suits also. Merlins Magic Sleepsuit or the ZippadeeZip.
