I totally agree. some mothers don't have the father of their children helping them out so they can celebrate father's day for themselves. just like if its a guy on mothers day lol. if he's a single dad he can celebrate it too. but that's my opinion 😂

It's Father's Day though... We have Mother's Day for a reason...

@kirstennmayo, @tavarusmommy21 Yesss but a lot of mothers stepped up to play both roles, and on Mother's Day some fathers get celebrated as well for playing both roles .

Yep and I'm one of those but I don't go looking for a happy Father's Day, and I don't see why anyone should get sculled for thinking Father's Day should be for fathers* only.

like I think. some women don't grow up with a father figure and don't have help with their kids so they can celebrate this if they want. 💁

@rookiemom, I have seen 2 single dads have their kids tell them happy mothers day because they grew up with only their dads..

some children have two mothers for parents some have single moms some have single dads some have both parents some have divorced parents with step parents. if the child wants to tell their mother happy fathers day good for them i called my mom up today told her happy fathers day and told her to tell my step dad happy fathers day . no my mom didnt raise me but my real dad abused me and kicked me out after choosing every gf over me and my brother . let the children decide who they want to tell happy fathers day . if i was a single mom with no help from the father or just a single mom i would proudly look at my son and say thank u baby

Just my opinion but I agree that it's Father's Day we have mothers day to get praise for being a great stand up mom single mom whatever my daughter is 8 and her father was an abusive dead beat who in 8 years has never find anything I d been doing on my own since day one but I don't expect to be praised on Father's Day this is a day for the good men of the world to be praised like I was on my day it's my job regardless to take care of my children dad or no dad I don't need an extra day to tell me im doing a good job

@flower_princess it just makes me mad when people hate on kids for telling their mom or dad happy mother or fathers day . before my dad turned abusive and stuff i would make him cards for mothers day and wake him up to go fishing . you never know what someone is going thru and you may never know their struggle judginv others is wrong . i just know that we are all are one . thank u for thinking i have a good heart . i hope u have a blessed night beautiful

I've seen a couple of guys celebrate mothers day , they had to play both roles. so if a mother wants to celebrate father's day let it happen she carried the child for 9 months and taking care of a child on her own so she deserves to have two days.

@alainalovesmommy, don't we have everyday with our children everyday I spend with my kids is Mother's Day to me why do we have to steal a special day for dads to make our selves feel better about being moms we have 1 special day a year the way it is supposed to be to get thanks for being great moms but everyday your child wakes up happy and healthy is a special mommy day to me so why take away from the dads that take care of there children this is there day let them have it let men be men and women be women there is no reason to take away from what they as good fathers have earned , we as women have to stop wanting to take over everything no one said you have to praise your child's father on Father's Day if he is not an active dad but you also don't need to be bitter and take away from the dads that are active good upstanding dads

I'm with @phasion anf @krys with this one... moms who do the work of two deserve to be praised but on their day. The jenner kids aren't just going to celebrate caitlyn on mothers day because she will always be their dad. Regardless of your role, you get one day. My husbands dad is dead, has been for 14 years, shes never been thanked for fathers day, why? Shes not his dad. Even if she played two roles, we praise her year round for it instead.

we aren't taking away from dad's , it's a unimportant holiday . like good for dad's that are active in kids life like celebrate that then but if a mom wants to celebrate it too go ahead . I've seen dad's do the same damn thing so don't call me bitter. @krys

@rookiemom, I agree with that tho it's only women with dead beats that want to celebrate fathers day as there own day but women who do it alone because of unfortunate reasons have no issue with just celebrating there one day !
