@brightsunsett, awesome! Oh before you buy hooks, hold one just see how it feels. If it's like a pencil then get the ones that look like a j at the end. If like a box knife (I do it this way "German style") then get the one that looks like it has a chunk taken out of the end to create a hook. HUGE difference in the way the hook catches the yarn. Also, simply soft Caron (at Walmart too) is the best to learn with and is pretty soft ;)
