How many ladies had a epidural ? Did it help at all ? Or is it not all the hype ?

Everybody I know had an epidural and they all breast fed.

That's weird.. My sister had and epidural and she breast feed for 4 months until she got sick with phenomena. @soontobemommy13

It just depends my oldest one I had an epidural and felt nothing at all! but with my second..my labor was much quicker and the epidural only worked on one side of my body...so I felt pain I. one side and numbness on the other...I was so upset

it helped for a little but my contractions were too close so it was almost worn off. I couldn't sleep cause I felt a lot

I had my epidural right away with my first and it was perfect! I was able to sleep a bit and that really helped when it came time to push out miss 8 pounds 5 ounces

I had 3 very different labors, first one... I didn't have a chance to get an epidural as my baby girl (who is now going to be 21 in a few months) had a cord prolapse and almost died. I got totally knocked out for an emergency c section. My middle daughter (who is making me a gramma this August), I asked for an epidural when I arrived at the hospital only to be told that I needed to wait to be checked...an entire hour later, it was too late as I was dialated at 8... I had to have her au natural... I thought I was going to die..she was 8lb 1oz.

My third pregnancy...I asked to be checked as soon as I arrived so I could get the epidural.... BEST THING EVER!!! I talked and laughed through my entire labor!

I have a fairly high tolerance for pain...but epidurals are the best thing ever!!!

@soontobemommy, I told him I was interested in breastfeeding and he told me that and epidural would lessen my chance of it . This particular doctor isn't my primary care . I'm in Louisiana so I had to find me a place to go .

@soontobemommy, @babyg2015 @mommapotts15 @coraanne my doctor told me that he wouldn't recommend it for me .... And I just didn't understand why ...

My epidural was AMAZING! Except in the beginning, I had a "hot spot" which mean his head was block the medicine from the nerves, but they gave me more and it went away. If I have another kid I will get the epidural again. @soontobemommy13

helps a Ton, couldn't feel anything and they had to do a monitor on my babies head I didn't feel them putting it on and slept through it all, you can't feel ANYTHING with it, they did have to do mine twice causer how tall I was and short the girl doing it was but would definitely do it again

mine worked VERY well.. i didn't feel a thing.... it lasted from when i got it until i had her and havent had complications yet.

I would get one. unfortunately for me it only worked on half my body but let me tell you- that was a true wake up call....TAKE IT!!!

It helps A LOT! I was able to sleep through the majority of my contractions so I was nice and rested when it was time to push.
