sorry needed to rant ! people don't understand the struggles we go thru day to day (my husband is working on getting his papers & cannot work) . so he dose tattoos in a non official shop I got my first tattoo in a professional shop and got a MAJOR infection that put me in the HOSPITAL his fixed work from "professionals" he's drawn his whole life and that's how he supports us ... just cause he doesn't work in an "official shop" doesn't mean he's NOT clean he talks to them and shows them needle in package and before tattoo and needle after he even talks about the brands of ink ! ... I unstand there's people out there that don't take it seriously but not all of them are the same u HAVE to start from somewhere okay rant over :

That's true I got my tattoo from someone who set up shop in his garage until he had the money to open up his shop and may I add his work is impeccable and his garage and items were extremely cleaned , well kept and everything was sterile. Sometimes it's these high end shops we have to look out for

@phasion, very much agreed just because they are licensed doesn't mean they take it serously

My dad used to tattoo from our house and he ALWAYS opened a fresh needle and explained what he was doing to the person always washed is hands up to his elbows throughly in front of the person broke the old needle when he was done right in front of the person so they knew he wouldn't use a dirty needle honestly he took more precautions than an actual shop... I've seen licensed shops tattoo on an intoxicated person (which they're NOT supposed to do because alcohol thins the blood) yet my dad has denied people a tattoo if they were drinking
