Lol my husband told me the best wedding present he received was my family moving literally to the other side of the country.

@lesbianmommy Just makes you feel blessed when you do come from a family you like. I actually like my in laws better then my own family, my parents are crazy and immature too much drama for me so Washington can have them!

@karnawest, That's true, I absolutely love my family. They embrace my lifestyle they have treated every girl I've been with like family and always here for my fiance and I without holding it over our heads. My fiance family on the other hand, they treat us like shit, constantly talk down to us, want to be in control of our money, wants to be in control of everything. My family is in California and my fiance is from Iowa, where we live so it's really hard when I'm down here with no family at all and constantly being attacked and verbally abused by her family.

@lesbianmommy Ugh that sucks! My mother is very controlling and manipulative. I have just learned to keep her at a distance and not give her any ammunition to use on us. Thank god we only have to deal with them a couple times a year I don't know what I would do if they lived close! My in laws treat me like one of their own and I never even knew what I was missing until they started treating me like family. Hope things get better or they move too lol
