So is it really real that if I exclusively breastfeed my baby that I can't spend more than 3-4hrs at a time away from baby and if so I have to pump. so no weekend getaways or night out with the girls lasting more than a couple hrs? Not saying that I have any intention of leaving baby girl for any extended amount of time, but it would be nice to have the option: ( Like who wants to hang out with a breastfeeding mama? y'all turning up and she like "hold on wait I'll be back I have to go pump" really? sry lol just sitting here thinking

If u pump the day before u go out pump enough for you to be gon when it first comes down its a lot of milk so pump n store as much as u can if u make a routine of feeding n pumping u will have enough for a weekend get away. Just introduce the bottle within the first month or so I gave baby a bottle of Breast milk after a week n she goes bk n forth with no latch issues it will take dedication I go back to work n two weeks I'm scared

I exclusively pump and have to do it every 2-4 hours (at home every 2 out and about every 4) but I have the Freemie so I can put the cups in my bra and pump around other people just gotta make sure there's an outlet and a place for me to chill

@ginag918, I introduced my baby to bottles when she was 3 weeks and she's almost 6 weeks and she also goes back and fourth fine(thank God). I started my first week back to to work on Monday and I'm not going to lie the first day back was hard. Today was day 3 of being away from her and it's still hard lol! what I did a week before I went back to work was let my job know that I exclusively bf and that I would need a room with a door that locks to pump in the middle of my shift. they were really understanding and accommodating and I think that's what helped to ease some of my anxiety abt going back to work

also say I pump a days worth of milk the day before I leave for a day getaway, wouldn't I still have to pump while I'm away to keep my milk supply up? @ginag918

Yep! So u would need to make sure u have a freezer to put it in or pump n dump if u plan to be drinking liquor on the outing

I'm on my 20m nursing my son. at first I'd pump once after 4 hrs for an 8 hour shift. at about 10m I stopped needing to pump at all at work. your milk is supply and demand. do if u don't pump at work, u won't produce as much. I introduced a bottle after 4 wks as suggested by my LC. he rejected all bottles for some reason at 5 m and just reverse cycled.
