So yesterday we were at the dentist. While in the waiting room my baby was walkin around knockin books off the tables and trying to stick his fingers in plug ins so wen he knocked the books off the table after I told him no the first time I hit his hand. (I didn't hit it hard just enuff to get his attention) and one lady looked at me and said "dnt u think he's a little young to be hittin" and I said " no mam I do not. And if u have a problem with me punishing MY son then feel free to cover ur eyes" and she just kind of laughed me off. My son is almost 15 months and he knows wat no means so wen I tell him no and he looks at me and keeps doing wat he's doing he will get punished. Am I wrong for punishing him so young? I don't think I am!

I don't think your in the wrong at all! A lot of the worlds problem now days are parents don't punish their kids! So keep doing you!

She's rediculous. There is nothing wrong with that it's not like your bending him over whoopin his butt. A little tap on the hand does not hurt just shows them wrong from right. I hate when people criticize other people's parenting!

If you don't punish them and discipline them society will do it for you! And when society does you would wish you did... I'm totally 100% for punishment and spankings. I'm against abuse 100%, but you have to spank butt a few times to get the point across.

@babymama1015, exactly!! The lady looked at me like I just freakin slapped him super hard. And she wasn't even 2 feet from me so she know I barley touched him. But he started crying like I freakin killed him. It was ridiculous. And wen the lady said sumn to me me and my mom just kinda looked at each other. I wanted to say a lot more to but because she is an older lady and my mom was there I kept it simple.

@vondab490 right I did the same to my daughter in Wal-Mart when she was 2 she peed on herself after I asked her did she have to use the bathroom and someone called the police and said I was beating her they came and asked her and she told them why she got a spanking. he tried to tell me to take her to the bathroom next time and I told him no I discipline her where she act up at
