my son had a hernia but it was more upper above his belly button. this looks like a hernia definitely call the drs and ask them about it. in my sons case he is okay for right now but if it gets worse he might need surgery which I'm very nervous if he does. hopefully the drs can give you some anwsers on what exactly this is. best of luck to you and your little one
