Smoking pot while breastfeeding: do any moms do it?

no but my friend does and she just does it once a day maybe twice but she pumps it out waits till next feeding... to feed...she gives lo a bottle

Yes! I exclusively breastfeed and I try to save it for only on weekends. They haven't done conclusive studies bc it's immoral but they say it affects motor skills. I'm very pro marijuana and it's been proven to kill cancer cells. So yes I smoke and breastfeed

Pump enough out so when he hungry he can eat, and when you smoke you don't have to worry about feeding him cause you would have some stored already. And all you would have to do is dump . (if that make sense.)

It stays in your system for a few weeks so skipping a feeding/pumping is pointless. But I know it makes some moms feel better

You could probably call an ob office and speak to a nurse and ask their opinion. Just don't give them your name or anything and tell them you smoked and want to know if its okay to feed your baby still. im sure they'd tell you

I'm with @regelbaby, that you can't just pump and dump. It can take up to 30 days for Marijuana to leave your system so either way it'll be in the breast milk. Just be careful.

I would say pump a few bottles before you smoke, that's what I usually do then a also have a stash of milk but I say pump a whole days worth then smoke the next day that way you will have some on hand also pump and feed him before right before that what I usually do
