I am so waiting for Carter's umbilical cord to fall off. It smells SOOOO bad. Has anyone else experienced this with their child? I've heard that some people say it's common because it is rotten flesh. But sheesh. He has an appointment tomorrow. I will ask his doctor about it.

Kaiden's didn't smell that I remember. But it did take a while to fall off, they had to put that stuff on it at the doctors office and it came off later that night.

Oh okay. I've heard people say it fell off in like a weeks time but it's going on two weeks and his hasn't fell off yet. It looks like it's starting to though. @soontobemommy

That's how Kaiden's was. She put it on there at his 2 weeks appointment, but it stained his clothes. @squizzy843

Yeah, it didn't come out at all. But if you try to keep it covered then it won't stain but it's kinda hard to keep it covered. @squizzy843
