Just a quick Q .. What are you ladies planning on using as pain relief .. Or what have you used with previous births...…

I had an epidural with my little boy they had to do a episiotomy but was full dilated wen i got there ready to push but he wasnt having any of it,i would like a waterbirth this time with no pain relief if possible,but i cant tolerate pain,so it depends how i feel wen im there,But epidurals are amaaaaaaazing didnt feel a thing 😃 @jodipatton xx

Yeah I want a water birth I think! .. I just sorta feel like I'll be cheating if I have an epidural but I think I won't give a toss at the time haha xx @mummy123 c

I really want to try it with no drugs but guess ill never know till i get them contractions lol xx

I put down waterbirth for my little boy i never got it cus of him gettin distressed really depends on how well you cope with pain i managed most of my labour at home,sat in bath etc..but then my waters broke as soon as i got there she checked i was ready to push but my little boy didnt wana come,shouldnt feel like that you want ti be comfortable when givin birth,so if you need pain relief you gotta use it 😃 atleast u will be more relaxed lol,whatever u decide no1 is goin to judge you,as long as ur comfortable thats main thing @joddpatton and @elisabetesantos xx

I thought I was cheating too if I had one but I was in so much pain I had to have one, I had all the pain relief I could get haha x

I had gas & air just. it was the worst pain ever but my wee girl is 3 weeks now & I dont remember the pain watsoever id have another ten of her ♥

its not a bad thing to need more pain relief!!! I@jodipatton I was adamant I only wanted gas & air but I did scream near the end for an epidural lol but it was too late haha. u brought the baby into the world who cares wat helped you do so :D xx

I had nothing until having to go into theatre for emergency section. I have always suffered from really bad period pains so have a high pain threshold, I was 10cm dilated when I arrived at the hospital as I thought I was just constipated. Each person is different, there is no cheating toy do what's best for you at the time. I'm praying for a normal delivery this time and plan to have no pain relief. Fingers crossed but who knows what will happen!! x

Just go with the flow @jodipatton I would never spend too much time doing birthing plans as these babies have a mind of their own half the time and at the end of the day you will do whatever it takes to get them here safe and sound xx

I think just take what you need at the time. It's bizarre to think that we feel a "failure" for having pain relief, when it's the only situation EVER where during intense medical pain we choose to feel it and push through. Wouldn't catch me having a tooth out without an injection, or a minor operation with no anaesthetic! Just shows how bloody amazing women are! To even consider that amount of pain without relief. X

Haha very true @hannahmilligan22 I'd never go to the dentist and get anything done without pain relief ha didn't think of it that way xx
