Well I did all the testings and things for possible disabilities. I don't see much wrong with adhd because I have it. I'm dyslexic as well. Along with bipolar, depression, anxiety and smoking helps all that. I don't believe in pills to fix people.

I don't see anything wrong with smoking pot in general, but not while pregnant. My MIL smoked and her first baby had a birth defect that still effects him today (hes 26 now) and my husband has learning disabilities. Then again I don't feel comfortable taking any kind of medicine while pregnant lol

you just never know. her other two kids are fine. one had restricted growth as well and had to be born early but she's fine now. her oldest doesn't have any problems either.

@phasion, both my children attitudes are great, my 6 yrs old attention span is great, he is doing amazing in school and at home other than my boys being boys (playing, running jumping etc) they are great...I rarely have to yell at them

my sister smoked cigarettes her entire pregnancy. one has adhd, has dyslexia and is almost 11 with the speech ability of a 5 year old. another has adhd and speech problems as well. could be just something that happened but you never know.

@michelle2393 absolutely agree with her statement. I understand it maybe more harmful to quit cold turkey so I believe using a vaporizer would be the best route and not so much because the nicotine but the other chemicals found in tobacco cigarettes. I personally was a smoker when I got pregnant with my first child but wasn't hard for me to quit but I could see how some may have an issue quitting

I lost well over 40+ pounds from throwing up and I refuse to take meds.

It's not legal in my state for them to test my baby unless they have a reason to. And pot smoking is what I'm talking about lol. I have never smoked cigarettes @babybump3 @mickbaby

Question.. For those that smoke and already had children ... How are your children attitudes and attention spans? Just curious

I wish I could have smoked during the first trimester honestly. I lost 10 lbs and all they gave me was zofran which is more dangerous to the baby than thc. My doc does urine tests for stuff every month though and if it kept showing up they notify authorities at delivery!! @mommaliyah95

@junebaby it could be from cigarette smoking... like I said I know it's NOT good for baby..... anything can happen... that's why I thank God everyday that my children are healthy

Well I've had the baby tested for any neurological issues and downs and such and baby is literally perfectly healthy. I've felt my baby move since 13 weeks, I'm healthy. (Except my kidney infection from lac of water) and exactly to each their own! @junebaby @babybump3

my sister smoked and had low birth weight babies. two has intrauterine growth retardation and we're born early. one has severe learning disabilities and is growth restricted. can't prove it's smoke related but it's what happened.

@mommaliyah95 I think statistics make things worse too...but me smoking cigarettes is in no way healthy lol that's why I said I know it's not... but hwy to each it's own lol... as long as my babies are healthy that's all I care about

Well there have been no actual studies that is good nor causes harm to your baby. But like I said I don't do it for fun any more. And I'm taking no pills during my pregnancy nothing like that. I eat perfectly healthy. I personally see nothing wrong. Statics make it way worse than it is. I'd much rather smoke a bowl to help with morning sickness rather than take a zofran or some other pill. @babybump3

I'm a paramedic by profession and it does cause low birth weight because it subsides your appetite try to vape if you absolutely can't stop because it's easier to lower the dosage of nicotine without noticing. most the time it's more psychological anyways

@mickbaby, yea I have been trying to quit but its so hard... @mommaliyah95 yes I have been smoking since I was 13 also...and with my babies they came out perfectly healthy ....I'm definitely NOT saying smoking is healthy at all...but i am just thanking god my children are healthy

See I'm fine with smoking! I actually do smoke. Have been since I was 13. Now it's so much fun as trying to be able to eat and actually leave the bathroom! My baby is growing fine and is healthy and so am I so I see no issue with it

Well smoke of any kind is dangerous to a fetus and can cause maaaany issues. Though cigarettes are proven more harmful than marijuana for preggos and non preggos. Vaporizing is a better way if you can't quit either but really refraining from everything is best ☺️

unfortunately,(please no back lash because I know its bad) I do smoke, but my two children are perfectly healthy...I had healthy pregnancies and no complications....
