They really shouldn't, it angers me so much, especially because lately my apartment has been having problems, like the other night the main pipe from my bathroom was backed up and there was water literally falling out of the toilet, my bathroom was becoming a lake! we called our landlord and she wasn't answering our calls, so we called the emergency maintenance guy and he said he wasn't gonna come help us because he lives in Landcaster. And it pist me off because why the hell will she hire somebody who 1. doesn't live nearby, and 2. won't do their very best to help. I literally stayed up till midnight until somebody finally showed up to fix our pipes. @babymercado

That's exactly what I had in mind! They already pro-rated it once for having us move in the 12th instead of the first of the month, now pushing the day back again.. Yes, I will request another prorated rate @jennatess

When we moved into a rental it had no windows shades at all so as we were moving in they were putting them up kind of sucked

You need to tell them, "we payed for today, and we planned on today. If we can't move in until tomorrow, then I expect a prorated rate- even for one day."

ugh. my landlord did the same thing! she and I were not on good terms when my husband and I finally moved in.
